Overview:

The Boutique Hub has built a large community of boutique and brand owners and is now creating a wholesale marketplace (Hubventory.com) to serve that community. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly competent team building a greenfield Laravel application using the TALL stack. We are seeking full-stack developers with a range of PHP and Laravel experience to help complete the product and build the platform as it matures.


Duties & Responsibilities

Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:

  • Building new features in a brand new application (no cruft, no legacy code!)
  • Optimizing queries, fixing bugs, and polishing for launch
  • Working with non-technical staff to plan and define feature requirements
  • Reviewing PRs and pairing with other programmers


Who are you?

You’re a junior, mid, or senior full-stack Laravel developer who is eager to build new features in a rapidly growing company. We’re assembling a development team with a range of experiences and your role will depend on your capabilities. We’re less interested in your current skills and more interested in your ability to take in the context of a problem, work through a solution, and learn the tools you need to implement it.

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • 1+ years of PHP experience
  • 1+ years of Laravel experience
  • Knowledge of Tailwind
  • Experience with Alpine.js or similar framework
  • Experience with Laravel Livewire, Hotwire, or similar technology
  • A desire to learn and grow at every stage in their career
  • A bachelor’s degree in STEM or computer science, or equivalent experience
  • An ability to thrive in ambiguity and ask the right questions
  • Resourcefulness and eagerness to roll up your sleeves to get any job done

You’ll stand out if you have experiences like:

  • Building a Shopify app or working with the Shopify Admin API
  • Working with Stripe API, particularly Stripe Connect
  • Scaling applications from zero to tens of thousands of users
  • Writing APIs for mobile apps
